The trip was organized as part of the support for the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, upon the invitation of the Holy See (Vatican City), in cooperation with the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine for Children.

The event was organized in partnership with the charitable organization Caritas and JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. Within the program, a group of Ukrainian children aged 14–17 spent two weeks отдых at the seaside near Naples, Italy.

The teenagers stayed in the city of Castel Volturno, where they were warmly welcomed by representatives of Caritas, the local administration, and members of the local community. The program included time for rest and recovery by the sea, swimming, seaside walks, and enjoying the natural landscapes of the region.

One of the key moments of the trip was a meeting with Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, who made significant efforts to ensure the implementation of this initiative. On the day of arrival, the Ukrainian children also took part in the creation of a mural dedicated to the theme of peace.

The program also featured educational and cultural excursions, including visits to the Royal Palace of Caserta, the island of Ischia, boat trips, swimming in the open sea, and walks around the island.

During the stay, the children participated in a food festival, met with members of the Ukrainian community who came to welcome and support them, and enjoyed meals generously provided by local family-owned restaurants. The participants also had the opportunity to taste locally produced mozzarella.

In addition, the teenagers visited an organization dedicated to the protection of sea turtle populations, where they learned about the journey of baby turtles from birth to the sea.

This trip became an unforgettable experience thanks to the beauty of nature, meaningful impressions, and the sincere care of people who deeply support Ukrainian children and wish peace for Ukraine.
